À propos
Fondé sur l’amitié d’un trio de musiciens au talent confirmé, PATIENTLY AWAITING THE METEORITE est le nouveau projet de DEE et des FRÈRES GRAND. Les trois comparses travaillent ensemble en 2006 lors de l’enregistrement du deuxième album solo de Dee. Cette collaboration sème les germes d’une solide amitié et dix and plus tard, le groupe donne sa première prestation live à Toronto. Suite à un premier EP, le projet obtient la bourse «Juried Sound Recording» de l’organisme canadien FACTOR pour l’enregistrement et la commercialisation de Canyon Diablo.
Printemps 2018, un premier extrait, "Electrified", accompagné d'un vidéoclip hypnotisant, confectionné en utilisant les techniques de «light painting» et de «stop motion» à partir de 15 000 photos, nous arrive comme une véritable décharge électro-rock rassembleuse. Le clip a été visionné plus de 106 000 fois et Electrified a fait la «Playlist Of the Week» sur Apple.
Août 2018, l’album du groupe est mis en nomination sur «La grosse liste» de la GAMIQ pour Album Indie Rock de l’année. Le second simple Strange Intuition est lancé simultanément le 19 octobre sur le magazine canadien Tinnitist de Darryl Sterdan et sur ECOUTEDONC.CA au Québec. Le simple est aussitôt ajouté sur le canal Stingray «Loud». Strange Intuition et Electrified ont été présent sur le top 25 de Stingray Alternative jusqu'à aujourd'hui.
"Dans mon corps", le premier simple franco du groupe, est lancé en novembre et fait sa marque sur les plateformes avec plusieurs listes d'écoutes sur Apple et sur Spotify ainsi qu'une rotation forte sur la chaîne Sirius «Influence Franco». Canyon Diablo est le "The Featured Album Of The Week" sur la station radiophonique Generation Next LIVE on 94.9 The Rock qui propose une pièce de PATM chaque soirs à 20h. Les simples de PATM singles ont été régulièrement joués sur des stations comme CILV 88.5 FM Ottawa, et 106.9 The Wolf, Nanaimo, Canada.
Les gars de Patiently Awaiting The Meteorite ont lancé leur vinyle et donné leur premier concert le 6 décembre 2018 au Ministère à Montréal.
